Endolysosomal ion channels and diseases symposium

我們很高興宣布,2026 內溶小體離子通道與疾病國際研討會(ELiD 2026)官方網站已正式上線。We are pleased to announce that the official website for the 2026 Symposium on Endolysosomal Ion Channels and Diseases (ELiD 2026) is now online.



ELiD 2026 將於 2026 年 10 月 27–28 日於國立臺灣大學醫學院舉辦,邀請來自德國、義大利、美國、日本與臺灣等地之國際學者,共同探討內溶小體離子通道、胞器生物學、神經科學、免疫、感染與藥物開發等研究領域。The symposium will be held on October 27–28, 2026, at the College of Medicine, National Taiwan University, Taipei. International speakers from Germany, Italy, the United States, Japan, and Taiwan will discuss recent advances in endolysosomal ion channels, organelle biology, neuroscience, immunity, infection, and drug discovery.

Scientific Program Overview

會議內容簡介

Day 1 — International Symposium & Keynote Lectures

第一天 — 國際研討會與專題演講

The first day of ELiD 2026 will feature keynote lectures, distinguished talks, and an international panel discussion focusing on endolysosomal ion channels, lysosomal physiology, intracellular trafficking, neurodegeneration, immunity, calcium signaling, and therapeutic development.

Invited speakers from Europe, North America, and Asia will share recent advances in ion channel biophysics, lysosomal signaling, retinal degeneration, Parkinson’s disease, membrane trafficking, and translational medicine.

The day will conclude with a keynote panel discussion on the future directions of intracellular ion channel research.

ELiD 2026 第一天將以國際專題演講與 panel discussion 為主,聚焦於內溶小體離子通道、溶小體生理、胞內運輸、神經退化疾病、免疫、鈣離子訊號與藥物開發等研究方向。

來自歐洲、北美與亞洲的國際學者將分享離子通道生物物理、溶小體訊號傳遞、視網膜退化、帕金森氏症、膜運輸與轉譯醫學等最新研究成果。會議最後將舉行國際 panel discussion,共同探討 intracellular ion channel research 的未來發展方向。


Day 2 — Early-Career Forum & Poster Session

第二天 — 青年學者交流與海報討論

The second day will focus on graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career researchers. The program will include career discussions, interactive Q&A sessions, poster presentations, and networking opportunities with international speakers.

Topics will include academic career development, international collaboration, PhD and postdoctoral training opportunities, and scientific communication across different countries and research systems.

ELiD 2026 第二天將以研究生、博士後與青年研究者交流為主,包含 career discussion、互動問答、海報展示與國際講者交流活動。討論主題涵蓋學術職涯發展、國際合作、博士與博士後訓練機會,以及不同國家研究環境中的科學交流經驗。

Anna Moroni (University of Milan, Italy)

EMBO Member and member of Academia Europaea, Prof. Moroni is internationally recognized for pioneering work on ion channel biophysics, HCN pacemaker channels, and optogenetic engineering of light-gated potassium channels. Her research bridges electrophysiology, structural biology, and synthetic bioengineering.

Anna Moroni 教授為 EMBO member 與 Academia Europaea 院士,長期致力於離子通道生物物理學、HCN 心律調控通道與光遺傳鉀離子通道工程研究,結合電生理、結構生物學與合成生物工程等領域。


Martin Biel (LMU Munich, Germany)

Member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and Chair of Pharmacology at LMU Munich, Prof. Biel is a leading expert in cyclic nucleotide-gated and HCN channels, retinal degeneration, cardiac electrophysiology, and ion channel–based gene therapy.

Martin Biel 教授為德國國家科學院 Leopoldina 院士,現任 LMU Munich 藥理學系主任,研究專長涵蓋 HCN 與 cyclic nucleotide-gated channels、視網膜退化、心臟電生理與離子通道基因治療。


Gerhard Thiel (TU Darmstadt / University of Milan)

Prof. Thiel is a distinguished membrane biophysicist known for seminal discoveries in potassium channels, viral ion channels, and lysosomal channel physiology.

Gerhard Thiel 教授為國際知名膜生物物理學家,研究涵蓋鉀離子通道、病毒離子通道與溶小體通道生理等領域。


Dejian Ren (University of Pennsylvania, USA)

Prof. Ren is a pioneer in lysosomal ion channel biology and the discovery of TPC and TMEM175 channel functions.

Dejian Ren 教授,現任美國賓州大學生物系研究所所長,為溶小體離子通道研究的重要先驅,率先建立 TPC 與 TMEM175 等通道之功能與生理角色。


Marc Freichel (Heidelberg University, Germany)

Chair of General Pharmacology at Heidelberg University, Prof. Freichel studies TRP channels, calcium signaling, lysosomal ion channels, and disease physiology.

Marc Freichel 教授現任 Heidelberg University 藥理學系主任,研究方向包括 TRP channels、鈣離子訊號與溶小體離子通道。


Christian Wahl-Schott (LMU Munich, Germany)

Chair of Cardiovascular Physiology and Pathophysiology at LMU Munich, Prof. Wahl-Schott is internationally known for work on TPCs, HCN channels, and lysosomal ion channel physiology.

Christian Wahl-Schott 教授現任 LMU Munich 心血管生理與病理學研究所所長,長期研究 TPC、HCN channels 與溶小體離子通道生理機制。


Susanne Koch (LMU Munich, Germany)

Prof. Koch specializes in retinal degeneration, retinal plasticity, and gene therapy approaches for inherited blindness.

Susanne Koch 教授專長於視網膜退化、視網膜可塑性與遺傳性失明之基因治療研究。


Takushi Shimomura (Hiroshima University, Japan)

Dr. Shimomura studies Two-Pore Channels (TPCs), intracellular ion channels localized to endosomes and lysosomes that regulate organellar excitability and calcium signaling. His work combines electrophysiology and structure–function analysis to investigate ion channel gating mechanisms and their roles in neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

下村拓史博士現任廣島大學講師,研究方向聚焦於位於 Two-Pore Channels (TPCs),探討胞器膜興奮性、鈣離子訊號與離子通道閘控機制。

Chun-Hsiang Tan (Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan)

Neurologist and ion channel researcher focusing on TRPM2, thermal sensation, Parkinson’s disease, and neurocognitive disorders.

譚俊祥醫師為高雄醫學大學神經科學與離子通道研究學者,研究方向涵蓋 TRPM2、溫度感知、帕金森氏症與神經認知疾病。


Jia-Wei Hsu (National Taiwan University, Taiwan)

Dr. Hsu investigates intracellular trafficking, endocytic recycling, lysosomal transport, and membrane trafficking pathways.

許家維博士現任臺灣大學生化科學研究所副教授,研究方向包括胞內運輸、內吞循環與溶小體運輸。
